ONE-CLICK, WHOLE-IMAGE CLEANUP

From visible words to a reviewable result

This workflow is designed for people who want every visible word removed. It avoids pretending to offer pixel-level selection until a real brush and mask editor are available.

01

Upload an authorized image

Choose a photo, screenshot, scan or product visual that you own or have permission to modify. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported.

02

Run automatic text removal

ClariText asks the Pro model to remove all visible text, captions, labels and date stamps, then rebuild the areas hidden behind them.

03

Review edges and texture

Use the comparison slider to inspect repeated patterns, faces, product labels and fine edges. Try again when the generated background looks inconsistent.

WHAT IT REMOVES

Automatic cleanup for common text overlays

The model works from the entire image rather than a manual mask. That makes it fast for whole-image cleanup, with clear limits when only one small word should change.

Captions and social overlays

Clear headlines, subtitles and promotional copy burned into a photo so an authorized visual can be reused in a new layout.

Date stamps and annotations

Remove camera dates, arrows, notes or labels that distract from an old photo, reference image or presentation asset.

Product and mockup text

Create a cleaner starting point from your own packaging mockup, listing image or campaign visual before adding updated copy.

Background reconstruction

Fill the covered region using nearby color, texture, lighting and perspective instead of leaving a flat blur patch.

PRACTICAL USES

Useful when the words are no longer needed

Remove text

Refresh your own marketing visual

Remove outdated campaign copy from a source design you control, then add new text later in your preferred design tool.

Clean an old photo

Erase a date stamp, handwritten annotation or printed caption when you have the right to edit the image.

Prepare reusable presentation art

Clear labels from an authorized diagram or slide background before building a localized or updated version.

Simplify a product mockup

Remove temporary pricing or placeholder words from your own mockup while preserving the product and surrounding scene.

When automatic text removal works well

Best results

  • Text sits over sky, walls, fabric, gradients or other predictable texture
  • Letters are clearly visible and distinct from the subject
  • You want all text removed, not one selected word
  • You own the image or have explicit permission to modify it

Important limits

  • There is no brush or local selection in this first version; the task removes text across the image
  • Text covering faces, hands, logos or intricate geometry can produce visible artifacts
  • Reconstructed background is generated and may not match hidden pixels exactly
  • Removing copyright notices or watermarks without permission may violate the owner’s rights

TEXT REMOVER FAQ

Questions before removing text

Each completed Pro text-removal task costs 3 credits.

See credits and clean-download options
How do I remove text from an image without removing the background?+

ClariText uses generative reconstruction rather than simply blurring the letters. It analyzes nearby texture, color, lighting and perspective, then creates a plausible fill for the covered region.

Does the tool remove every word automatically?+

Yes, this version is intended to remove visible text across the whole image. It does not yet provide a brush for selecting one word or one local area.

Can I remove a caption or date stamp from a photo?+

Yes. Clear captions and date stamps over simple backgrounds are among the best use cases, although every generated result should be reviewed.

Is the AI text remover free?+

Pro processing requires sign-in and normally costs 3 credits. An eligible new account can create one watermarked preview, then choose whether to pay for a clean download.

Can it remove text from a screenshot?+

It can, but interface screenshots often contain many sharp lines and repeated elements. The tool may alter nearby UI details, so it is better suited to photographic backgrounds than pixel-perfect software documentation.

Will the reconstructed background be exact?+

No. Pixels hidden by text are not present in the source, so the model generates a plausible replacement. Simple backgrounds tend to look more convincing than faces, hands or intricate patterns.

Which file formats can I upload?+

The workspace accepts JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 20 MB. Very large images may be resized before processing.

Is it legal to remove text or a watermark?+

Only edit images you own or are authorized to modify. Removing copyright information, a creator’s watermark or licensing marks without permission can violate contracts or intellectual-property rights.
